One step forward...

The good thing today was that Josh had a good day yesterday. I took advantage of it and went to church this morning. When I got home Josh was just getting up and was having a lot of pain from his eyes. This is to be expected from the chemo. It’s irritating, but manageable.

Two steps back…
He also was running a slight fever, so we began to monitor it and watched it climbing from 100.7 to 101.7 over the next hour. We called Dr. J and he arranged a bed for him at Beaumont. They've drawn blood from his arm and both lines to culture to find the infection. Ordering anitibiotics, etc. You know the drill. And we're waiting for the eyedrops with aspirin to come up as his eyes are burned out by the chemo and he's keeping them closed. He’s not feeling too bad other than the eyes and he’s still eating okay. He insisted on postponing our departure for Beaumont while he ate a muffin and two cinnamon-apple pancakes. Stockpiling before getting back to hospital food.
